My speaker has been misbehaving for some time now, and I'm truly stumped. The sound output is either dead silent, seriously distorted, or cutting in and out erratically, even after I've verified all of the self-evident connections. I've attempted some simple troubleshooting measures: checking that all the cables are properly plugged in, adjusting volume levels on both my device and speaker, and even replacing the audio cable with a known-good one. Even after these, the problem remains. I'm guessing it might be a hardware issue—either a blown driver or faulty amplifier circuitry within the speaker.
I'm asking if anyone has ever experienced a similar issue and could recommend further actions. Do I need to open up the speaker to look at the internal wiring, or is it worth taking it to a professional repair shop? I'm especially interested in whether a firmware update would be of any use if the speaker is a smart one, or if there are any reset methods that I haven't yet attempted. I thank any guidance, whether it is additional troubleshooting advice or suggestions as to whether it is more economical to replace or fix the unit. Appreciate your assistance in advance—I look forward to returning my speaker to functioning condition!
