In the group of upregulated genes, galectin-7 was selected for further examination and its elevation after ErYAG laser treatment was validated by RT-PCR and Western blot. We demonstrated that silence of galectin-7 abrogated the effects of ErYAG laser on cell proliferation, migration ad invasion, suggesting the ErYAG laser promoted these effects through induction of galectin-7.
