Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among Latinas. Dominican women in particular have a higher lifetime risk of breast cancer than do other Latinas in the U.S. This study examines how gender, ethnic, and language concordance between providers and patients are associated with recent mammography screening for Latina immigrant women from the Dominican Republic.
