A quantitative, cross-sectional, self-reported survey was used to collect data from 260 healthcare consumers. The partial least squares method of structural equation modeling was applied to the data set. Healthcare consumer behavioral intentions were shaped by attitudes, with perceived usefulness and trust impacting intentions via the mediating role of attitude, as the results indicated. Trust was affected by the perceived level of risk, the assessment of privacy protections, the
