In the synthesis of activated carbon, the impregnation ratio of SB and ZnCl2 was fixed within the 11-13 range and the activation was performed at a temperature between 600 and 900 degrees Celsius for one hour. The characterization study found activated carbon to exhibit a superior iodine adsorption capacity of 114069 mg/g with a 12 ratio at 900°C.
