The present study analyzed the expression of the histone deacetylase (HDAC) 1, 2 and 3 in primary esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) samples and how their levels correlate with clinicopathological parameters. ESCC patients (n=88) in the present study had received no previous treatment before undergoing surgical excision.
