Individually, supramaximal concentrations of sarpogrelate and SB224289, a selective 5-HT1B receptor antagonist, only partially inhibited the 5-HT-induced vasoconstriction. However, simultaneous pretreatment with both these antagonists almost completely inhibited the 5-HT-induced vasoconstriction.
