To remove organic pollutants, this research investigates the isolation and thermo-chemical modification of cellulose, followed by its use as an adsorbent. The Olive Europa, a plant commonly referred to as Zaitoon and readily available locally, yielded the used cellulose. Zaitoon stem branches were gathered and then stored in water at a room temperature setting for 40 to 45 days to extract the cellulose fibers within. For 72 hours, the Soxhlet apparatus was utilized to wash the cellulose fiber
