Incontinentia Pigmenti (IP) is a neurocutaneous syndrome, with malformations of cortical development and neurodevelopmental delay in some patients. Neonates with IP may develop acute encephalopathy with multifocal ischemic brain lesions with a speckled pattern on diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
