A palladium-catalyzed, multicomponent dearomatization of arylamines with carbon monoxide and propargylic acetates is reported for the construction of bridged polycyclic lactams. The ipso and para positions of the amino group facilitate double annulation by this method, creating four new bonds: three C-C bonds and one C-N bond.
