BACKGROUND Social media is providing new avenues for survivors to disclose ****ual abuse and/or assault. Since the creation of #metoo (2017), and the larger MeToo movement founded by American activist Tarana Burke in 2006, millions are disclosing ****ual assaults and past childhood ****ual abuse on-line. OBJECTIVE Social media for disclosing the highly stigmatized problem of ****ual abuse/assault was studied to build knowledge about on-line disclosures. PARTICIPANTS AND SETTING Participants were tweeters and posters on Twitter and Reddit.
